16 Jan Let’s Cultivate Gratitude This Year
Let’s cultivate gratitude this year
If we cultivate gratitude for what the will of God gives us in life, rather than ingratitude for what it doesn’t, many other things in life fall into place.
As we move into the New Year, when we are ungrateful for what the will of God does not give us, it is like children who are ungrateful because they didn’t get the Christmas present they wanted, rather than grateful for food, clothing, shelter, medical care, education, and family love and care.
No matter how difficult our life might be, God still loves us, we are still saved, we still have the truth of Scripture to guide and transform us, we still have the Holy Spirit to lead us, guide us, and bless us. We still have the hope of disproportionate eternal reward for suffering in this life, and we still have the hope of heaven in the end when all will be well forever.
As we focus on the things the will of God gives us, it will enable us to nurture gratitude and lead us to increasingly experience the peace, love and joy it can give us.
YouTube Channel Progress
We plan to begin videoing this week. The goal is to have several months’ worth of videos “in the bank” before we go live, so we don’t get caught without a video in a busy time.
So, depending on how the videoing and subsequent editing go, we hope to be ready to launch in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to seeing you then!
And, we appreciate your ongoing prayers as we continue to lay the foundation for moving from this blog to a YouTube channel. I’ll continue to keep you posted. If you’re not already on my email list, subscribe here so you don’t miss any updates – you’ll also receive my free video, Master the Bible So Well That the Bible Masters You.
In the meantime, while I’m getting the YouTube channel ready, all of the past blog posts are still available – and you know that “repetition is the key to mental ownership!”
And if you’re new here, we recently finished a series titled “Moving from Checkers to Chess ~ 5 Steps to Unleashing the Power of an Eternal Perspective,” in which I “connected all the dots” from posts over the years and combined them into a “spiritual game plan.” That series is a great place to start.
I look forward to seeing all of you on my new YouTube channel soon, to further discuss how to walk closer with God and live better in life.
